Families are Forever

Families are Forever

A new day brings a fresh start.  Another opportunity to try again, do a little better, and learn a little more.  This is a natural cycle that happens often in our life.  A new year, a new career, a marriage, the birth of a baby.  This cycle is symbolic of The Creation, The Fall, The Atonement.  There was a beginning, there was the fall of Adam and Eve, and the Atonement, so save us all and bring Salvation.  It is because of this cycle of events that Families are Eternal.
"Now, repentance could not unto men except there were a punishment, which also was eternal as the life of the should be, affixed opposite to the plan of happiness, which was as eternal also as the life of the soul." Alma 42:16
We come to this earth to learn and grow into who our Father knows we can be. We will be faced with opposition and struggle.  Just as our first parents, Adam and Eve, learned of the blessings of know right from wrong, we to are faced with the struggle of learning and choosing for ourselves.
"And now, my sons, remember remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall." Helaman 5:12
With the end of each day we can reflect, repent, and try again because of our Redeemer. We can try again.  We can try again with the knowledge that God is on our side.  We must choose to be on His.  We can try again with the hope to be an eternal family.  That we can each live a life yoke to Christ. That our families can be eternal.  Because we have been saved from our sins, we can repent and try again, just as our day closes and a new day begins.
